Description

A delicious fried rice recipe featuring tender sirloin steak, fresh vegetables, and flavored with low-sodium soy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups day-old cooked rice
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, bell peppers)
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: chop vegetables, mince garlic, and slice the steak.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak strips for 3-4 minutes until browned. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and mixed vegetables; stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender.
  4. Add day-old rice to the skillet, breaking up clumps while stirring for about 2 minutes.
  5. Drizzle soy sauce over the rice mixture; cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Create a well in the center of the rice; pour in beaten eggs and scramble until set before mixing through.

Notes

  • For best results, use chilled day-old rice to prevent it from becoming mushy.
  • You can customize the mixed vegetables based on your preference.
