A creamy and cheesy potato bake with a hint of garlic, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Heat until warm but not boiling.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over them and sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- This dish pairs well with a fresh green salad.
- To make it even creamier, you can add more cheese between the layers.
