A delicious bourbon chicken recipe that combines the flavors of soy sauce, ginger, and garlic.

- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/3 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients: chop the chicken into bite-sized pieces and finely mince the garlic and ginger.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
- Marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; add marinated chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Add garlic and ginger during the last minute of cooking until fragrant.
- Pour remaining marinade into the skillet and simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Notes
- This recipe can be adjusted for spiciness by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
- Serve over rice for a complete meal.
