- 1 recipe homemade pizza dough
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- ⅔ cup pizza sauce
- to taste Italian seasoning or ground basil
- to taste Garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 60–65 slices beef pepperoni
- ½ cup yellow cornmeal
- Extra mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the homemade pizza dough on a floured surface.
- Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet dusted with yellow cornmeal.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle the Italian seasoning or ground basil and garlic powder over the sauce.
- Add shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
- Layer the beef pepperoni evenly across the cheese.
- Add extra mozzarella cheese as desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
