Description

A refreshing ginger shot to boost your immunity!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces fresh ginger root (about ½ cup roughly chopped)
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup coconut water (or tap water)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash the ginger root, but leave the peel intact. Chop the ginger into large chunks and place in the blender.
  2. Pour in the lemon juice, coconut water, honey, and add a dash of cayenne.
  3. Cover the blender and purée on high-speed until extremely smooth.
  4. Place a fine mesh strainer over a measuring pitcher or glass. Pour the puréed ginger juice into the strainer.
  5. Then use a spatula or spoon to press down on the pulp to extract all the ginger juice.
  6. Pour the strained juice into shot glasses and serve immediately!

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of honey for sweetness.
  • For a spicier shot, increase the cayenne pepper.
  • This shot is best consumed fresh.
