- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the trimmed green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until bright green, then drain.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Fold the blanched green beans into the soup mixture until evenly coated.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and sprinkle half of the fried onions and cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown, adding the remaining onions in the last few minutes for extra crunch.
